The Channel 4 TV programme
On August 3rd 2003 The Sunday Times ran an article about a TV program
on an experiment whereby modern pupils were put into a 1950s school environment.
The school used was of course RGS and the headmaster was Andrew MacTavish,
who left RGS in 1956. Read the
article here
The TV programme ran during August 2003 and there was a website
which gave further information together with a discussion forum "The

The
Acorn Folk Club John Moore (1949 - 1956) and his wife Eileen
(HW Girl's Grammar) founded The Acorn Folk Club in Minehead and
John produced an excellent website for their club. Unfortunately
John died very suddenly in March 2005, but his wife Eileen is
carrying on the running of this most excellent club. I was very
pleased to have been asked by Eileen to assist her with the maintenance
of the website. There is an Obituary to John of the Acorn
Folk Club website
BMC Chess Magazine is
edited by John Saunders, who produced his 1967 school photograph
referred to earlier on this page.

Owen Smith writes a highly entertaining blog.
Since retiring my wife and I take lots of walks with a local group.
Devon is a wonderful county and extremely photogenic. One of my
hobbies is to set slideshows to music on DVDs. You can see some
samples here
If you have a website that might interest others, please let me have
the url and a short write-up for me to include on this page
Other Links
These links lead to sites I have built for other people. They are here
purely as a blatant attempt to provide extra external links to their sites
to encourage Google and other webbots to spider them. If you have a web
site and can provide links to this site or any of those below, I will
be please to offer reciprocation. So there!
Videos4all is a website built
for a local (Torbay) videographer. Barry Hudson, and his wife Mary are
very experienced and produce and edit videos for weddings, entertainment,
advertising, corporate events etc using the latest cameras and editing
facilities. Barry can supply the finished product in DVD or traditional
VHS format. He can also transfer any of your old films, slides, VHS
tapes etc onto DVD.
The Scratching Post
The Scratching Post (cat rescue) is a cat rescue charity, based in Cheshunt/Geoffs
Oak (Hertfordshire), but covering a much wider area. I got involved
in building this site on the instructions of my youngest daughter who
is keenly interested in cats and plays a major role in this particular
charity.
Walking in Devon.
Since my wife and I retired we have walked the coasts
and moors of Devon with our local National Trust Walking Group.
Being a keen photo snapper, I have kept a photographic record
of our walks and made some videos. Have a look to see what we
have enjoyed.
